Volunteers at the World Rowing Cup 2013

Volunteers are the life blood of our sport.  Without their time, hard work and sense of fun our sport would not be able to function.

Every successful event relies on a team of volunteers that will perform a whole range of jobs with varying degrees of commitment and responsibility. The British Championships is no exception.  Both events are run by a team of volunteers.  We come from all parts of the country and have a wide variety of interests and levels of experience.  We strive not to put any barriers in the way of people getting involved. You do not have to have rowed before nor have any relevant experience.

People volunteer for a number of reasons; to participate in rowing, to learn new skills, to help their sport or community, to be around their heroes or maybe just for a laugh.  Whatever it is that attracts you to helping at an event, your experience should be a positive rewarding one and, most importantly of all, fun!! The British Championships committee aims to recognise and support volunteers at all levels of our team.

If you are interested in volunteering at either of our events, or indeed any rowing event, then please don't hesitate to contact us.  We will do our very best to find you a position that will match your interests and aspirations.
